Fundraiser Presentation: Night at the Derby Presentation Video
Background
Manes & Motions Therapeutic Riding Center, part of the Hospital for Special Care community, is a dedicated non-profit organization that provides equine-assisted activities and therapies for individuals facing physical, emotional, and developmental challenges.
Challenge
Manes & Motions is entirely funded by charitable donations from the community. Every year they host a gala that brings together donors, sponsors, volunteers, and general community members to raise funds to support the program. This year, they celebrated their 25th anniversary and sought an event package that honored their rich legacy while looking forward to the future.
Idea
Manes & Motions’ mission is to rebuild lives through the horse and human connection. I worked together with the development and communications manager and the Manes & Motions team to identify a diverse group of participants whose stories reflect the organization’s impactful journey over the past 25 years.
Solution
I crafted a narrative that captured the essence of Manes & Motions’ past, present, and future through interviews with four individuals. I filmed b-roll footage and edited the material into a powerful 6-minute video, designed to evoke deep emotional connections with potential donors and inspire their support. This video was showcased during the gala’s main presentation, making a lasting impact on the audience.
Results
The gala surpassed its fundraising goal, raising over $86,000. The 140 guests in attendance remarked how powerful each story was and how it inspired them to continue to support the program.
